This May, Semyon Bychkov returns to the Opéra national de Paris to conduct Strauss’s Elektra. He is reunited with American soprano Christine Goerke in title role. The pair last worked together on Elektra in 2020 in Vienna and prior to that were heard at the BBC Proms in 2014 of which their performance was picked by both The Guardian and The Sunday Times as one of the best classical events of the year.
