Following the successful launch of his Beloved Friend: Tchaikovsky Project last month in London, Semyon Bychkov embarks on an international tour with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra starting in Amsterdam on 16 November, passing through Vienna, Bratislava and Washington, ending at New York’s Carnegie Hall at the end of the month. The tour will feature mixed programmes of music by Glanert, Mahler, Mozart and Weber.

Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony makes return appearances in Maestro Bychkov’s concerts with the Czech Philharmonic in Liberec on 10 November, the Munich Philharmonic on 9-11 December and the Orchestre National de France on 15 December. Manfred will be coupled respectively with Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos, Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 and Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto.
