Next month sees Semyon Bychkov return to the Münchner Philharmoniker for the second time this season.  On 15, 16 and 17 June, he conducts the Orchestra in Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8 which he recently performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  As The Chicago Tribune noted, “the triumph of the finale was won with absolute integrity: the uncommon discipline and beauty of the orchestra’s playing worked hard in glove with the conductor’s clear vision of where Bruckner’s music was headed, and how best to get there.”

On 21, 22, 23 and 26 May, Semyon Bychkov presents his second programme with the Orchestra featuring Brahms’s Symphony No. 3, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major with soloist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Debussy’s La Mer.  Maestro Bychkov has opened the last two seasons with the Münchner Philharmoniker touring in Austria, Germany and Romania.
