Semyon Bychkov conducts the Britten-Pears Orchestra

As part of the Snape Proms at Aldeburgh, Semyon Bychkov worked with the young musicians of the Britten-Pears Orchestra on Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony and Piano Concerto No. 2 with soloist Kirill Gerstein. Performing at the Snape Maltings Concert Hall at the end of August, the East Anglian Daily Times described the evening as “a superb showcase for two perhaps unfairly neglected works of no small merit”:

Last Saturday 7 May, Semyon Bychkov conducted the Webern Symphonie Orchester in Mahler’s Fifth Symphony at the Musikverein in Vienna.
