Following a month performing in the USA, Semyon Bychkov returns to Europe for his final concerts with the Czech Philharmonic this season before his tenure as the Orchestra’s new Chief Conductor and Music Director officially starts in the autumn. Between 20-22 June, Bychkov can be heard in Prague conducting the Czech Philharmonic in Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony and Brahms’ First Piano Concerto with soloist Kirill Gerstein.

Later summer will then see Bychkov make his Bayreuth Festival debut conducting Wagner’s Parsifal on 26 July, 1, 8, 14, 19 and 25 AugustOn 31 August, Semyon Bychkov returns to the BBC Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra – with whom he holds the Günter Wand Conducting Chair – to perform Ravel’s La Valse, Berio’s Sinfonia and Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.
